Trim trimming is too expensive, we need a couple of mulberries trimmed and it was going to be like $900!

I’m sure we could work something out. I just acquired a looooot of firewood today.

You’d shit your pants if I told you how little we are paying for this.

Hey I need this — that Vibe was expensive. And then the house. And then the garage. And then
And then
And then
And then
...

I know these pains. We’ve had a new roof and completely new HVAC installed in 2 years.

You should keep looking. I’ve had our giant silver maple and hackberry trimmed for less than half that. And that’s with a reputable company, not some hack who shows up at the door looking to butcher your trees for cheap.

Tree work is expensive alright. This was in 2008.
I only paid to have it put on the ground.

My boss was just quoted for his roof that was deemed to “imminently fail” — $34,000. Good lord.

Yeah, I’m thinking we would do 300-400 in the winter time with another company.

Yeah, at least we lucked out on the roof, a new roof including pretty much all new plywood was under $8000.

We paid ~$15k for a new roof about 10 years ago, and ours is a smallish, 3 BR house. So $30k may not be that far off if it’s a big house.

I agree. It’s just amazing to me — you could put a downpayment on another house for the price of a roof!

Yup. That’s why you have homepowner’s insurance and keep track of hail storms. There’s a statute of limitations in TX that says you can claim hail damage up to one year from the date of a storm. So we got our insurance company to pay a large chunk of the cost. Roofs ain’t cheap.

Whew, glad our birch is a healthy bastard. Did pay about a grand to have it and our oak manicured earlier this year.
Yeah pricing bathroom remodel and some flooring. yikes.

In the meantime, Have you any interest in these absolutely gigantic and heavier-than-a-tercel stump pieces?

Do you offer free shipping?

No haha. These things are seriously beefy... I think I’ll have to cut them up myself. Better buy a chainsaw.
I can’t even budge most of them... I am a skinny man.
